Robmond Kennels

ROBMOND KENNELS is a relatively new, but very select, kennel specialising in imported bloodlines. We have imported six dogs from the United Kingdom and each one has made a significant contribution to our breeding program. Through our friends we have also been able to use other imported bloodlines so that now our dogs carry some of the finest bloodlines available in Australia.

Showing is an important part of life at ROBMOND KENNELS and careful selection is made of all dogs that will enter the show ring. Selecting the right 'type' of dog with correct conformation and temperament is one of my guiding principles in both showing and breeding.

I have always been interested in breeding dogs. I have taken a long term and patient view designed to produce consistent type and excellence.

Another important principle is that my dogs enjoy the typical life of a dog. My dogs are not kennelled. They spend their day with me and each other, playing, swimming after ducks, hunting rabbits and occasionally digging holes. Their sociability is a testament to their true Cocker Spaniel temperament and happy nature.

For a number of years I sat on the Committee of the Cocker Spaniel Club of Victoria Inc. After standing down for a few years I was elected Secretary of the Club in 2009. I am happy to say the Club has seen a resurgence under the current Committee.
